Rockers the movie









Rockers is a 1978 Jamaican film by Theodoros Bafaloukos.
Some of the main characters in this movie are not actors, but well known
reggae artists people like Leroy "Horsemouth" Wallace, Burning Spear, Gregory Isaacs, Big Youth, Dillinger, and Jacob Miller.



 The main rocker Leroy "Horsemouth" Wallace, is shown living with his actual wife and kids and in his own home.
On the right, it's a photo showing Theodoros Bafaloukos in Leroy "Horsemouth" Wallace's home, with his wife and two kids.










The recording studios shown are the famous Harry J Studios where many roots reggae artists recorded during the 1970s including Bob Marley.



Kiddus I's recording of "Graduation In Zion" featured in the film , just happened to be recorded the day Bafaloukos visited the studio.




Rockers was originally intended to be a documentary but on the way it ended as  a full-length movie, featuring the reggae culture of the time. With a budget of 500,000 Jamaican dollars, the film was completed in two months and premiered at the 1978 San Francisco Film Festival .
